My first protest, photographing the events as they happened and supporting the cause
International Women’s Day March
In 2018, I had attended my very first protest to document it. I followed this march and allowed for the energy to wash over me the. It left a long lasting impression on me and solidified for me what I wanted my work to both achieve and continue to grow and become.
The chanting was meditative, the signs ranged from informative to witty; I was very much surrounded by imagery and action that sat exactly within the zeitgeist. It was such a wild experience. This was definitely the start of my journey into looking at how the content
I produce can leave a positive impact culturally, socially, and politically.
